World’s Safest Cities Announced: Which European Cities Made the List?

According to data published by CEOWORLD Magazine and the Safety Index Report, cities were evaluated based on criteria such as public order, crime rates, security force density, and overall quality of life.


Cities from the Gulf region dominated the top of the list.The capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, ranked first with a safety score of 97.73%.


Abu Dhabi was followed by Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, in second place with 97.53%, and Doha, the capital of Qatar, in third with 97.50%.


Among European cities—none of which reached the very top positions—Bern and Zurich from Switzerland, Munich from Germany, Trondheim from Norway, Ljubljana from Slovenia, Groningen and Eindhoven from the Netherlands, and Zagreb from Croatia managed to secure spots in the top 20.


Eskişehir was the only city from Turkey to enter the ranking.With a safety index of 91.77%, it placed 39th, standing out for its low crime rate, student-dominated population, and high quality of life.


No other Turkish city made it into the top 40.
