Unemployment in the Eurozone Remains at Historically Low Levels

The unemployment rate in the EU and Eurozone remained steady in June, reported at 5.9% for the EU and 6.2% for the Eurozone.
According to June unemployment data from the European Statistical Office (Eurostat) for the European Union (EU) and the Eurozone, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in the EU was 5.9% in May and remained unchanged in June. Youth unemployment also stayed at 14.7%.
In the Eurozone, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 6.2% in May and showed no change in June. Youth unemployment decreased slightly from 14.3% to 14.1%.
The countries with the highest unemployment rates in June were:
Spain at 10.4%,
Finland at 9.3%,
Turkey at 8.6%.
The countries with the lowest unemployment rates were:
Malta at 2.5%,
Czechia at 3%,
Poland at 3.5%.

📌 The total number of unemployed in EU countries was 12,967,000 in June, with 10,700,000 in the Eurozone.
📌 The number of unemployed youth under 25 was calculated as 2,857,000 in the EU and 2,241,000 in the Eurozone for June.
