After Pakistan's military launched a retaliation operation against India, US President Donald Trump announced that a ceasefire had been declared between the two countries.
This morning, the Pakistani military began "Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos" against Indian forces, successfully targeting India’s S-400 missile defense systems with fighter jets.
The Indian Army, in turn, reported that Pakistan had used high-speed missiles to target an airbase in Punjab. In response, India targeted radar systems and technological bases in Pakistan.
As the conflict escalated, President Trump announced that India and Pakistan had agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishak Dar confirmed the ceasefire agreement, stating, "If India stops here, we will consider stopping as well."
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the governments of India and Pakistan will begin discussions in a neutral area to address a wide range of issues.
