Russian President Vladimir Putin said he is ready to meet with Ukrainian President Zelensky if he comes to Moscow.
Russian leader Putin made this statement at the end of his four-day official visit to China.
"I am ready to meet with Zelensky, but is there any point in meeting him? If Zelensky prepares well for the meeting, then I am ready to meet. If Zelensky comes to Moscow, the meeting will take place."
Putin emphasized that if common sense prevails, they could agree on an acceptable way to end the conflict in Ukraine, while also stressing that Russian forces are advancing on all fronts in Ukraine.
"Ukraine does not have the capacity to launch a large-scale offensive."
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha immediately rejected Putin's Moscow proposal with the following statement:
"By pointing to Moscow, Putin made an unacceptable proposal."
