The TASS news agency reports that Russian social media has been flooded with complaints from hundreds of Porsche owners whose vehicles failed to start due to a widespread malfunction.

Yuliya Trushkova, Service Director at Rolf, stated that the issue emerged after the factory-installed alarm system was accidentally blocked via its satellite module.

“Since 28 November, we have seen a significant increase in calls from Porsche owners to our service centers. Our specialists have determined that the problem was caused by the factory alarm system being blocked through satellite communication,” she said.

📌 “Mercedes-Benz owners are facing similar cases,” the company added.

Trushkova noted:

“Mercedes-Benz owners have experienced similar issues, but those are isolated incidents. Our experts are currently investigating this case, and the possibility of deliberate interference cannot be ruled out.”

According to Avto.ru magazine, the malfunction is particularly common in Porsche models produced before 2020, affecting vehicles such as the Cayenne, Macan, and Panamera.

The Telegram channel Shot also confirmed that hundreds of Porsche vehicles across Russia had become inoperable, leaving owners frustrated.

The ongoing geopolitical tension between Germany and Russia has further fueled speculation surrounding the incident.
