A German military unit will be deployed in Copenhagen next week to help secure the upcoming European Union summit of heads of state and government.
The decision follows Denmark’s request amid a rise in alleged Russian drone attacks.
Germany will provide support with C-sUAS (Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems) to bolster protection against drone threats.
In addition, throughout the summit, Germany will keep the Hamburg frigate on duty in the Baltic Sea as part of its NATO task force commitment.
