Drone Tensions Escalate Between Germany and Russia

🚨 Germany’s Position:Germany says Russia was behind the drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport.


On August 4, a drone carrying explosive material was found at Leipzig/Halle Airport in eastern Germany, near Ukrainian cargo aircraft.


Germany’s response:

📍 The Russian Consulate in Bonn is being closed.

📍 The contract for the Russian House in Berlin is being terminated.

📍 Entry controls for Russian citizens are being tightened.


Russia’s Position:

📍 Moscow has pointed to Berlin’s military and economic support for Ukraine, accusing Germany of supporting terrorism.


NATO and the EU have said the evidence is sufficient and strongly expressed their support for Germany.


And Vladimir Putin, who has been held responsible for the drone incident at Leipzig/Halle Airport, rejected the allegations, saying: “They are presenting fabricated evidence.”
