AI Services Suspended to Prevent Cheating!
Some AI companies temporarily disabled chatbot features during nationwide university entrance exams to prevent students from using AI for cheating.
📌 Popular AI apps like Alibaba’s Qwen and ByteDance’s Doubao stopped responding to visual recognition questions from exam papers.
📌 Tencent’s Yuanbao and Moonshot’s Kimi chatbots fully suspended visual recognition services during exam hours.
📌 DeepSeek AI also paused its services at certain times to ensure the fairness of the exam.
More than 13.3 million students in China are taking the highly challenging and multi-phase "gaokao" exam from June 7 to 10.
This exam is considered crucial, as it is often the only opportunity for students to secure one of the limited university seats in the country.
The use of electronic devices such as mobile phones and laptops is prohibited during the exam—thus, AI usage is also banned.
