Chinese President Xi traveled to Moscow, the capital of Russia, to attend the Victory Day events on May 9 (Friday), commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II.

Welcomed with a ceremony and meeting with President Putin at the Kremlin Palace, the two leaders made critical statements.

Putin made a historical reference and delivered a pointed message:

“Together with our Chinese friends, we continue to resolutely defend historical truth, preserve the memory of wartime events, and combat the manifestations of Nazism and militarism.”

He added:

“The intention to build good-neighborly relations, strengthen friendship, and expand cooperation is a choice based on comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction.”

The most notable statement from President Xi was:

“We are ready to build a multipolar world order together with Russia.”
“History and reality clearly show that the development and deepening of bilateral relations are essential for maintaining the centuries-old friendship between our peoples.”

This meeting, which coincided with the agreement signed between U.S. President Trump and the United Kingdom, carries strategic importance in shaping the new world and its future. This is the photo sending a message to the whole world — especially the United States
