The capital Kyiv woke up to bombs this morning. Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko stated: “For the first time during the war, one of Ukraine’s main government buildings has been damaged by an enemy attack.”
Russia launched drone strikes on high-rise buildings in both the west and east of the country during the night and early morning. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia fired 805 drones and 13 missiles.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that 3 people were killed and 11 injured.
One of the attacks also took place in the southeastern Sumy region. The region’s military governor, Oleg Grigorov, reported that in the strike on the town of Putyvl, one person was killed and several others injured, including a 9-year-old child.
Another Russian attack targeted Zaporizhzhia. The head of the military administration, Ivan Fedorov, stated that at least 15 people were injured.
The Russia-Ukraine war has been ongoing since February 24, 2022. Despite ongoing peace talks, Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine.
