Ford CEO Jim Farley said that despite offering an annual salary of $120,000 (around 5 million TL), the company has been unable to fill 5,000 mechanic positions, highlighting that the skilled labor shortage in the U.S. has reached critical levels.
Emphasizing that there are more than one million open positions in critical fields, Farley stated that vocational schools are insufficient and the country is failing to equip the new generation with the necessary skills.
