Germans Distrust Trump and the United States

A recent survey has revealed that Germans do not trust U.S. President Donald Trump, despite his German ancestry, and no longer view the United States as a friendly partner.

According to the latest public opinion poll conducted on behalf of German public broadcaster ZDF, 84 percent of Germans do not consider the United States a reliable partner.

Meanwhile, 90 percent of respondents expressed concern that the U.S. will increasingly interfere in Europe’s internal affairs in the coming period.

These findings also indicate that President Trump’s stance is pushing both Germany and Europe further away from the United States.
