Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI and creator of ChatGPT, says artificial intelligence companies may be focusing on the wrong priorities.
Speaking on the Big Technology Podcast, Altman said the development he is most excited about is AI’s ability to remember “every detail of your entire life,” adding that his company is working toward reaching that capability by 2026.
“Even if you had the world’s best personal assistant,” Altman said, “they still wouldn’t be able to remember every word you’ve ever said in your life.”
